The books examines everything from the writing of the rule book to the first All-Stars to game-changing partnerships and media coverage.
Author Hayley Kilgallon is a PhD student at the School of History in University College Dublin. Her research area is the history of women’s sport in Ireland and she has contributed on this subject for RTE, TG4 and BBC Gaeilge as well as numerous journals. She is currently a tutor at the School of History in UCD and has been a Programme Manager at Social Entrepreneurs Ireland. Hayley has also been a judge for the Young Social Innovator Awards and played Gaelic football at club level in Sligo, Boston and Dublin.
